BEHAVIORAL ADVERTISING
As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may interest you. For more information about targeted advertising, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s (“NAI”) educational page at http://www.networkadvertising.org/understanding-online-advertising/how-does-it-work.The Ad School uses the Facebook Pixel, which is a tool offered by Facebook Inc. or Facebook Ireland Ltd. (depending on the user's residency), as part of our efforts to analyze, optimize, and economically operate our online business. This usage is in accordance with Art. 6 (1) f. of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using the Facebook Pixel, Facebook is able to determine the visitors of our website as a target audience for its advertisements (known as "Facebook Ads"). We use the Facebook Pixel to display these ads only to Facebook users who have shown an interest in our website or possess certain characteristics, such as interest in particular topics or products. Through the Facebook Pixel, we aim to ensure that our Facebook Ads align with users' potential interests and do not cause annoyance. Additionally, we track the effectiveness of our Facebook Ads for statistical and market research purposes by observing whether users are redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook Ad. The Facebook Pixel is integrated directly into our website by Facebook and can store a small file (a "cookie") on the user's device. If the user logs into Facebook or visits the site while logged in, their visit to our online offer will be recorded in their profile. The data collected about the user is anonymous to us but is stored and processed by Facebook so it can be linked to the user's profile and used by Facebook for its own market research and advertising purposes. Any data transferred to Facebook for comparison purposes is encrypted locally in the browser before being sent via a secure HTTPS connection. In addition to the Facebook Pixel, we also use the "Custom Audiences from File" function, which involves uploading inventory data (phone numbers, email addresses, Facebook IDs) to Facebook. This upload is encrypted and serves solely to identify the recipients of our Facebook Ads. Facebook's data processing is governed by its Data Usage Policy, which can be found at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. For further information about the Facebook Pixel and how it works, please visit the Facebook Help Center at https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.Users have the option to object to the collection by the Facebook Pixel and the use of their data to display Facebook Ads by adjusting their ad preferences through Facebook's settings page at https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.These settings apply to all devices, including desktop computers and mobile devices. Additionally, users can object to the use of cookies for measuring range and advertising purposes through the Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out page at:http://optout.networkadvertising.org/ or through websites such as http://www.aboutads.info/choices or http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.
